Ada Okoye
Adanna grew up in Enugu Nigeria in a home where fabric and color were everywhere—her aunt sold ankara and adire in the market, and Ada spent weekends sketching motifs she saw on wrappers, signboards, and festival decorations. At university she studied visual communication, then moved to Lagos to work in branding, where she learned how to make designs read instantly at small sizes.
After a few years, she relocated to London and began documenting the “in-between” feeling of diaspora life: Nigerian visual language meeting global street culture. Her work became a bridge—traditional symbols, textiles, and architecture reimagined with crisp geometry and electric color.
